Remedy Demands an RTX 5080 for CONTROL Resonant’s Path Tracing, yet the Low End Stays Surprisingly Humble

Back in June, Remedy Entertainment shared preliminary minimum and recommended system requirements for CONTROL Resonant. Today, though, with just over two weeks until the game’s launch, the Finnish studio has revealed the full PC specs, including presets such as Enthusiast, Ray Tracing Minimum, Ray Tracing Recommended, and Path Tracing Enthusiast.

As a reminder, CONTROL Resonant is powered by the studio’s proprietary Northlight Engine technology, originally used in 2016’s Quantum Break and all of Remedy’s latest releases since then. There’s little doubt that the game will be another graphics showcase on high-end PCs, especially with path tracing enabled, but the specs also suggest it’s well optimized on the lower end.

During the recent gamescom, I watched a hands-off presentation and interviewed Senior Level Designer Arhi Makkonen, coming away from the appointment even more excited for the game than I already was. Look forward to Wccftech’s full review next week.
