Variety reports that Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed TV series has found four renowned actors for its recurring cast: Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Prometheus, Jack Ryan), Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible – Fallout), Corrado Invernizzi (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Ford v. Ferrari, Those About to Die), and Ramzy Bedia (Of Money and Blood, Haunted Minds). The production team did not disclose which roles they’ll play.

The adaptation was announced by Ubisoft and Netflix over five years ago. Its development lingered for several years, to the point where some fans assumed it might be about to get canceled, but the production finally kicked off in July 2025, and from that point onward, things have moved pretty quickly. In November, we learned that Toby Wallace (Babyteeth, Bikeriders, Eden) would be one of the co-leads, and the following month, we discovered that Johan Renck (Chernobyl) would be among the directors.

Other confirmed main cast members include Lola Petticrew (Dating Amber, Say Nothing), Zachary Hart (Jericho Ridge, The Witcher: Blood Origin), Laura Marcus (The Jetty, The Serpent Queen, Death by Lightning, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping), and Tanzyn Crawford (Servant, Swift Street, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms). Roberto Patino (Sons of Anarchy, Westworld) and David Wiener (Homecoming, Halo) are co-showrunners and executive producers.

So far, we only know that Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed adaptation will be a “high-octane thriller centered on the secret war between two shadowy factions — one set on determining mankind’s future through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will. The series follows its characters across pivotal historical events as they battle to shape humanity’s destiny”. We don’t yet know whether it will follow any particular game or be an original story, but as the show gets closer to its debut, we’ll report more info.

It won’t be the first adaptation of Ubisoft’s prized IP: a big-budget Assassin’s Creed movie featuring actors like Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, and Brendan Gleeson was released in late 2016 but failed both with critics and at the box office.
