Sony might be famed for its TVs, wireless headphones and iconic Walkman devices, but now it’s adding something new to its lesser-known range of RENO products. These wearable devices have been created to keep you cool in the summer plus warm in the winter, and now there’s an even more advanced option coming to the UK.

It’s called the REON POCKET PRO and it offers A longer run time than previous models plus much improved cooling thanks to a newly designed heat-dissipation mechanism.

Sony is boasting that this wearable device, which snaps around the neck, is equipped with two independent thermo-modules which are capable of doubling the cooling area compared to conventional models. That should help to keep users less sweaty even when the sun is at its hottest.

Things are just as good in the winter with this gadget also boosting the warming performance as well – this should help owners stay nice and toasty when the cold weather returns.

Other features coming to this new PRO RENO is improved accuracy of AUTO START/STOP function. This feature automatically starts or stops the cooling and warming by sensing the condition of the unit and the user’s mounting/removal motion.

Sony also says the design of the main unit has been improved, with the cooling/warming area now approximately twice as large as before. Plus this area is now tilted at the bottom of the main unit to better fit the body shape.

The neckband’s flexibility has been improved by increasing the diameter of the mechanical flexible tube surrounding the wire frame at the center of the band. Additionally, a new silicone extension has been added at the tip of the band for extra comfort.
