Battlefield 6 New Leaked Footage Shows Gameplay Closer to Older Entries in the Series

New Battlefield 6 footage has leaked online, providing a new look at the yet-to-be-officially revealed next entry in the series.

The new footage, which was shared on X by goodboy, was recorded during one of the recent Battlefield Labs tests and shows plenty of action set on some urban maps that highlight well how the experience seems to be closer to older entries in the series than the previous couple of ones. The interface seems to be way busier than that of said older games, but it will likely be tweaked over time before Battlefield 6 is officially revealed.

Besides featuring plenty of multiplayer fun, Battlefield 6 is also going to feature a single-player campaign, which will reportedly be inspired by the Lioness TV show and the Civil War movie. In a recent interview, Creative Director Roman Campos-Oriola also highlighted how the campaign development team is looking to capture the concept of talented but ordinary people in extraordinary situations, which creates an interesting dynamic in terms of the relationship between people. The work made on the Dead Space remake is also helping the team with the creation of the single-player campaign.

Battlefield 6 is scheduled for a Summer reveal. While a release date has yet to be confirmed, the game should be out by April 2026.
