Battlefield 6 Launches on October 10; Standard Edition Priced at €80 on Consoles in Europe

Battlefield 6 is launching in early October on PC and consoles, according to a new report from a very reliable source.

Earlier today, a new report posted on Dealabs from well-known leaker billbil-kun confirmed the highly-anticipated next entry in the series will launch on October 10 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S in two different editions – the Standard Edition and the Phantom Edition. Contrary to other rumors circulating online, the Phantom Edition is not a collector’s edition, but rather a Deluxe Edition launching only digitally that includes additional, unspecified in-game content, but no early access to the game, unlike a good portion of recent game releases. Users who purchase the Standard Edition can upgrade to the Phantom Edition by purchasing a Phantom Pack.

The well-known leaker also revealed the pricing for the two Battlefield 6 editions, and the news isn’t good for console players, at least in Europe. While the Standard Edition will launch for €69.99 on PC, it will be available for €79.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Phantom Edition will also be more expensive on consoles, as it will cost €99.99 on PC and €109.99 on consoles. The pricing for the United Kingdom and the United States hasn’t been confirmed.

Battlefield 6 is going to be revealed tomorrow with a new trailer, so there’s a good chance the game’s official release date will also be confirmed tomorrow. No matter precisely when the game is launching, one thing seems to be certain: the long wait seems to be almost over.
