The Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake, officially titled Assassin’s Creed Black Resynced was finally confirmed to be real by Ubisoft last month as part of a larger update on the Assassin’s Creed franchise. But even then, after years of leaks and rumors, all we got from Ubisoft was a piece of concept art just to confirm it was real. Thankfully though, a new report from Insider-Gaming indicates we’ll get so see a lot more than just some concept art at an imminent reveal.
According to both Insider-Gaming’s own sources and a user on ResetEra called BlackBate, the former of which adds significantly more weight to these claims potentially being true, we’ll get a full and proper reveal of Black Flag Resynced next week on April 16, 2026.
This has reportedly been in the works “for some time,” and next week’s reveal is also said to include a release date, which is also said not to be too far off.
Last month, when Ubisoft finally acknowledged the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake itself instead of threatening to sue the people who played key roles in why the game is as beloved as it is, all we got was the concept art, and a snarky comment about how some online rumors “have a little more wind in their sails” than others, adding that we should “Keep your spyglass on the horizon.”
None of that really answers any questions we’ve had about the game in the whirlwind of rumors that have circled over the years. Will this remake actually cut out the missions set in the game’s present-day, and just keep all of the historical missions? Are we going to see some content that was cut from the original game in this remake? Will there be completely new quests in this version?
Hopefully, we’ll get answers to all of those questions and more next week, if this reveal is indeed set for April 16.
