Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition New Patch Introduces Two New Ray Tracing Settings

Published on:

A new Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition patch is now live, introducing two additional ray tracing settings to the best-looking version of the game to date.

The 1.71 patch, which is also live on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, introduces an option to enable high resolution ray-traced reflections and another to have a second ray bounce for ray-traced global illumination. Of the two options, the high-resolution ray-traced reflections seem to be the most impactful, while the second seems to add more subtle changes that are easier to spot only in certain scenarios. You can check out how the new options improve the game in the video below, courtesy of GTA Network.

The Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition 1.71 patch introduces new content for GTA Online, including new money laundering businesses, new vehicles, experience improvements, GTA+ updates, and more. The full patch notes can be found on Rockstar Games’ official website.

Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition is now available on PC, introducing some enhancements over the PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X and S versions that make it the definitive edition of the game. The Legacy version without ray tracing support continues to be available on PC to allow those with older system configurations to continue enjoying the game as before.
