Delve into the tales of King Arthur's knights in Legends of the Roundtable, an RPG with a striking medieval art style that has a demo you can play now

Legends of the Round Table lets you manage the knights of Arthurian Legend in a complex RPG, and there’s a demo you can play right now, announced at FGS Live From Los Angeles.

Developed by Artifice Studio in Canada, Legends of the Round Table sees you in charge of the lives of over a dozen knights, including Lancelot, Gawain, and Percival, guiding them through their chivalrous careers, taking on noble quests, fighting to survive, and even getting romantically involved.

One of the most notable things about Legends of the Round Table is its historically appropriate art style that makes the 2.5D game look like an elaborate tapestry or illuminated manuscript. Much of the art has been painstakingly hand-drawn using legitimate medieval techniques, using tools and dyes available in the 13th century. This also extends to the game’s period-accurate music.

Much of what you’ll be playing in the game is also inspired by real folklore and fables from the time that form Arthurian legends. You get to manage your own round table, including choosing which knights get a seat at the table and assigning them quests to suit their unique traits, strengths, and drawbacks.

Their careers will feature intrigue, conflict, and plenty of tough choices to make along the way, affecting their honor and potentially having far-reaching consequences for your realm. Duels and battles are also dangerous with permanent losses, but the game also features a magic card system that can provide incredible power to a knight in need.

Legends of the Round Table is due to be released on Steam on September 29, 2025. If you like what you play in the demo, make sure you get it on your Steam wishlist too!
